Justin Watford
Justin Watford is one of our very gifted residential staff that lives, works, and ministers to the boys, and staff here at Salem Ranch.
Justin was born in Florence, South Carolina and relocated to Illinois to reach the boys of Salem Ranch for Jesus Christ. He works the night shift guarding and protecting our young men while the world sleeps.
He has many talents and interests that include , an incredible singing voice, amazingly funny stand up comedy, Elvis inpersonator, movie buff extraordinaire, and most importantly a devout man of God.
His most significant event in his life is when he was "born again" in Christ Jesus.
Justin brings a smile to all who encounter him, and the joy of the Lord flows from him like living water as he lives and works at Salem Ranch.
In the past he has worked as a prision guard at a juvenile justice center in South Carolina. When asked why he left he said,
"The values of Jesus Christ were not being taught to those boys. The other guards would give cigarettes and drugs in order to bribe the boys to behave, and that did not teach them anything of value."
Justin spends a great deal of his "off time" taking our boys off campus to have fun and show them what it means to care.
Justin has a sincere prayer for the boys, "Learn from your mistakes, learn from others mistakes, have listening ears, and a teachable personality.
Justin is a treasure of Salem Ranch.
