Mission, Approach, and Goal
Mission
The Ranch Program at Salem is committed to
seeing God change and rebuild the lives of young men. The Ranch
Program combines an environment of Christian relationships with
a superior treatment program, paving the road to recovery and
reconciliation for adolescent boys and their families.
Approach
Salem Ranch is a Christ-centered, highly structured environment designed to address all of the important aspects of each boy’s life so that they can return home to their families honoring God and their parents. Devotions, Bible study, Chapel, Church worship, Sunday school, Youth Group participation, and individual discipling address the spiritual needs of each boy. A simple, direct, consistent, fair and merciful family teaching model addresses the behaviors that each boy needs to discard and develop. Our school addresses learning problems and excites interest in academic excellence. The Equine Program, our recreational facilities and vocational opportunities develop physical, athletic, sportsmanship and vocational abilities. Interactions with our Christian staff in daily cottage life develops proper social skills enabling each boy to learn, firsthand, the results that result from positive behavior and most importantly an understanding of God and His word.
