Donations
As an independent,
not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, The Ranch Program at Salem does
not accept local, state or federal funding.
Consequently, The
Ranch Program relies heavily on generous donations from individuals,
churches, corporations, and other organizations that believe in the
values and principles that Salem espouses.
There are numerous
ways to support The Ranch Program at Salem in its endeavor to serve
troubled youth and families. An investment in Salem is an investment
in the lives of young people.
Contributions:
- Cash gifts are
the most common and immediate way to give to Salem. Cash gifts may
be given to a special project, or to the ministry in general to defray
general operating costs.
- Sponsoring a
scholarship allows donors to direct their monies to children who are
not able to attend Salem without financial assistance.
- Some supporters
have chosen to establish a memorial fund at Salem in honor of themselves
or a loved one.
- By including
Salem in your will, you can insure that future Salem residents have
the opportunity to receive the care and individualized therapy they
need. You can bequeath a fixed dollar amount, specific personal property,
or percentage of your estate.
- Gifts of real
estate provide Salem with room for expansion. These gifts usually
allow for avoidance of capital gains tax, and provide a charitable
deduction for tax purposes.
- Appreciated stocks
and bonds can be donated to Salem and may be deducted for income tax
purposes at full fair market value on the date of the transfer, with
no significant capital gains tax liability.
- You may currently
own a paid up life insurance policy which may no longer be needed.
This policy may be donated to Salem with tax benefits for the donor.
You may also purchase a new policy and list Salem as the beneficiary.
