The Lord God is amazing in His Provision
Over this past summer we were blessed with the most amazing gift. Archer Daniels Midland the largest agricultural producer in the world has blessed Salem Ranch with hydroponic growing equipment to be used in our existing greenhouse.
Salem Ranch has had a greenhouse for many years, and in the past we have grown vegetables and flowers. The greenhouse has been the source of many hours of enjoyment and encouragment for our boys in the past. Growing crops teaches the boys a skill that can be used in their future, and it creates an opportunity for us to reduce our food bill, and create a new funding stream that will benefit us for the long term.
Currently our greenhouse is being utilized as storage, not as an indoor farm...but that is why we are reaching out to our donor base and the general public. We are attempt to give our young men an additonal skill that will prosper their future homes, churches, and communties. That is our goal at Salem Ranch is to take young men that have gone astray and demonstrate to them what Jesus Christ can do in their lives. Jesus taught how to fish...we want to teach how to raise a crop.
Our Greenhouse Today
Archer Daniels Midland has graciously given Salem Ranch the ability to provide a new opportunity for the boys to learn a different vocational skill, and the opportunity to use our greenhouse as an additonal way for the Lord to prosper us financially.
This is all possible by raising a hydoponically grown crop that is usable and needed by the public. When the public supports this effort the Lord God will use our greenhouse to reduce our monthly food bill, and produce an additional funding stream . Another way to Glorify the Lord through and in the lives of the Salem boys.
Archer Daniels Midland has used this equipment to produce a valuable crop that people all across the region have eaten in restaruants and their homes, and by donating some of the hydroponic growing equipment to Salem Ranch we can with your support produce additonal funding opportunities that will impact the lives of our boys.

We can not thank ADM enough for this amazing gift. Salem Ranch was the one of two non-for-profit agencies that received this equipment. There were several universities and two non-for profit agencies that received hydroponic growing equipment. ADM is in the process of changing a 10 acre indoor facility to produce a different product.

We need your Help and Support for our Plan for Tommorrow!
This is where we need your help...we are still in need of work teams to help us put it all together, that can bring with them the necessary items to make our indoor farm a reality. We are also in need of items such as PH meters, pvc piping, drain gutters, and the connectors to make everything operate. We are in need of skilled metal workers and welders to build the benching from the donated raw materials.
So here is a list of needs...Please pray and lean on the Lord and ask Him if you should provide for this project that will benefit present and future generations of Salem Boys.
